Sanford Sardo
Sanford Sardo is an up-and-coming meditation and mindfulness instructor on the south shore of Long Island, New York. He has studied a variety of mindfulness techniques... with a number of very kind teachers.
Sanford has been a Buddhist Practitioner for several years. He was a regular student at the Kadampa Meditation Center Long Island, where he also taught classes at KMC-LI's Massapequa branch, focusing on beginning meditators and newer practitioners, as well as a weekly class for teenagers. Sanford has volunteered as a sound technician for the main center in Huntington, as well as the branch location in Massapequa, and served as the webmaster and weekly e-newsletter creator for the Massapequa branch.
Outside of KMC-LI, Sanford holds his teacher certification in Meditation and Mindfulness from the School of Positive Transformation, studying under Dr. Itai Ivtzan.
Sanford was the Director of Choral Activities of the Calhoun High School Choral Program for 28 years. To combat the increased stressors of recent educational policy, he would teach and coordinate a variety of mindful techniques to staff and students throughout the school year, most notably through Calhoun's Mindful Mondays program.
